Negombo Beach
Negombo offers one of the best beaches on the west coast of Sri Lanka, and draws tourists who stop over for a day on their way to or from the airport. Some quiet stretches of the beach are maintained by the tourist hotels, while others are always busy with fishermen and their equipment. Water-sports and diving are also popular among visitors, with a few well-preserved coral reefs and a 50-year-old shipwreck that can be seen in the distance serves as an artificial reef for many varieties of fish. "Mora Wala" (Mo-Ra-Wa-La) and "Beach Park" of Negombo are also very interesting places.

Negombo Lagoon
The Negombo Lagoon has an area of 3164 hectares. It is situated some 40 km north of Colombo. It is part of a much larger Muthurawajawela Marsh-Negombo Lagoon coastal wetland.Apart from the single narrow opening to the sea at its northern end.
Dutch canal
The canal was at one time an important link in the transportation route which supplied the Dutch colonial administration. It runs for more than 60 miles, with part of the route running through Negombo. Today it's an attraction for tourists and one of the more interesting ways to see the town and the surrounding area.

Angurukaramulla Temple
Angurukaramulla Temple situated in the Negombo City is one of the main as well as important historic temples in Sri Lanka. It is the largest Theravada Buddhist Temple in the Negombo city. The serene environment of the temple attracts many foreigners who visit to the city. The temple is famous for its 6 metre long reclining Buddha statue, ancient murals and Buddhist paintings. The painted pictures of ancient Sri Lankan kings who rendered their services to the temple evoke the historical importance of the temple in the mind of present day visitors.
